Echoes of Lubimovka in Munich and Warsaw are different voices against the war in Ukraine and the “imprint” of today's reality. We see war fatigue all around us and we are very afraid of this fatigue. Today it is especially important to pay attention to the fact that the war is still in full swing. We cannot get used to it, we cannot forget about it, we must talk about it.
The festival of anti-war drama is also important for the future: today we are recording different anti-war voices and resistance to the normalisation of war, and tomorrow these plays will serve as a valuable archive of our time.
Finally, Echoes of Lubimovka is not only a screening of plays, but also an action of solidarity. All the organisers and participants of the festival — professional art managers, curators, directors, artists, actors — work on a volunteer basis.
